Starting in January of 2025 we will making changes to our prescription policy regarding online pharmacies. As long as a valid doctor/patient relationship is maintained we will provide a written prescription for your pet's prescribed medications, diets or preventatives if you wish to fill it from another online pharmacy, or local pharmacy not directed through a veterinary distributor, that can be picked up in person.
If you wish to order prescription diets, medications or preventatives online to be shipped to you directly without sending in a prescription you can use our new-and-improved online pharmacy directly linked to our clinic.
We will no longer fax, e-mail or verbally approve prescriptions over the phone due to not having a fax machine and the time constraints it puts on our staff with the ever changing requirements and inefficiencies of many online pharmacies.
We respect your option to fill your pet's medications at the pharmacy of your choice but you must assume responsibility and liability for your choice in source and for letting us know you need a written prescription. An original, signed copy of the prescription can be picked up at the clinic. Please be aware of the laws regarding your pet's prescriptions and the risks associated with using online pharmacies by visiting the American Veterinary Medical Association at https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/animal-health-and-welfare/animal-health/pharmacy/prescriptions-and-pharmacies-faq-pet-owner
